Vincent is an excellent example of a collie out of AKC lines that has retained his Scotch type. His parents were both farm dogs in Tennessee and Vincent is an excellent farm dog! He aced his herding instinct test. He is intelligent and knows to only herd when told however and never herds our children or horses. He is quiet and only barks occasionally to alert us to something. He has a low maintenance coat that never needs brushing and does not get matted or dirty. He loves to swim in the pond, and hunt mice in the barn. He is a great trail dog and will trail ride with the horses through any type of trail. He has an excellent off lead recall. He enjoys jumping in the car for trips to town too! He has a good off switch and will happily lounge in the house. He doesn't mind loud noises and happily keeps me company while I use the tractor etc. He enjoys visitors. He loves children and spends most of his time with them. He is obsessed with baby chicks and likes to cuddle them. My son has even taught him a little agility for fun!
