Sandy is easiest dog we have ever been around - always watching and the sweetest personality.
He is very gentle with young animals (lambs, kittens, bunnies, chicks, kid goats) and children alike. He is always happy and welcoming around new company once we greet them. He loves scratches behind the ear. It is so sweet anywhere I walk on the farm he will walk on my left side with his head and nose popping under my hand to get a pet. Being with people is what makes him happiest, he would pick time with our family over a steak dinner every time.
Sandy does an excellent job watching over our farm alongside our English Shepherd, and has helped keep coyotes, skunks, falcons, eagles, and other birds of prey away from our young livestock. He has a very low bark with a commanding voice when used (he barks very sparingly, only when something is out of place on the farm, such as an animal out of a pen or when a visitor first drives up).
Sandy is a beautiful boy. When he runs he looks like he just floats across the ground with his long coat. We have a large grove and often muddy property and despite being a farm dog he stays remarkably clean/very minimal matting/burrs for how long his coat is.

Sandy keeps an eye on our property alongside our English Shepherd. He is also an excellent companion, and stays close to our children as they play outside on our farm. He is extremely patient. We are a working cattle and sheep ranch in southern Minnesota, and though he does not help move the livestock (our English Shepherd does this work already) he is confident around the livestock and quick to alert us if anything is out of place on the farm. He is also a good mouser and helps keep predators off the property.
