Notes:
Kep is a reliable and loyal homestead companion. He is always on the lookout and lets us know as soon as anything steps out of place. Kep barks at airborne predators and has protected our home from coyote, bear, deer, and turkey. Men, especially wearing dark clothing also cause some alarm. Kep is watchful over the children and cats, and though he enjoys and is very respectful during his time inside, he tends to want to go back out after a while, choosing to rest on the stoop right outside the kitchen door. Though he's never had any formal training, he has very good leash manners. He seems to have bonded especially closely with Becky, but he keeps an eye on everyone.

Working Description: Kep is an all-around farm and family dog. He and his brother Findlay (Mountain Wave Mooney) live outside full-time, and keep watch over our 100-acre homestead in the mountains of western Virginia. Kep is a steadfast companion. He is at my side every day as I do chores (sheep, chickens, goats) and is ready to help whenever I need him. He's very watchful and shows a great desire to assist me, though we haven't had any formal training, so we have a hard time communicating sometimes ;)
